As the title implies, this will be the place where I put all XI/XIV related material. In the past I used to daydream and think about the little parts of the game and how they really worked, so here is an analytical approach towards the people, creatures, landscapes and objects of Vana'Diel/Eorzea.

Critique is welcome and I'm open to ideas; because everything has a story behind it.

Nice. These are really good sketches. I love seeing sketches that show the artist's drawing process, which you can really see in your sketches here. I especially love the cardian and goblin drawings where you break stuff down into its technical components.

Thanks, those little studies are great exercise for the imagination and tests your fundamentals. As time permits, I'll do more- since there's tons of content to paw through and break down.

I have a list of things I'd like to try; if anyone is interested in one particular thing let me know and I'll do that first, but keep in mind I'm not too savvy on FXIV as I haven't played it nearly as much as XI.

To do list:
Main story character studies; expressions, description of person's character, equipment/weapons, poses

Monsters/beastmen/enemies: My take on design and function of the individual parts, and the parts as a whole. Brief description of history and interaction with humans/other factions

Technology: Similar to what I did with the cardian, I"ll explain the "hows" and "whys" of each nation's equipment and practices. Warfare, manufacture, architecture and culture.

Landscapes/environmental: Companion sketches to 'technology', I'll illustrate my vision of interesting locations and viewpoints.

Porn: Because there's never enough porn in the world, right?

This is a pretty ambitious idea, so I think I'll do it a step at a time rather than burn out and disappear suddenly. Also still practicing my fundamentals daily, so cannot let those go by the wayside.

It's been too long since the last update- easy to put stuff off when you're busy.

Been playing XI some again, looking closely at the designs and compositions of the environments; can tell a lot of thought was put into some of it. I'm sure whoever made it had their own little story and reason behind why it looks the way it does.

So here's my take on an area I've frequented recently, Gustav Tunnel. Time permitting will try to do more works and describe the world in my vision. Possibly might branch over to XIV, but XI has much more meaning to me, having played for so long.

Do you draw for Pen and Paper campaigns like D&D?

Can't say that I do; keep to myself mostly. Really do dig the fantasy themes though- I should hook up with some group that does this one day.

Closest thing to a 'group' I go to:

It's crude but light fun. Send a message if you want to draw together sometime.
