When they do shit like that I try to sound it out loud because sometimes the clue becomes clearer if it's phonetic. For example one modeler (I think EndressStorm) always puts his clue as

えすえむのばんご
Which seems like nonsense until you say it out loud and realize "esu emu" is how you say sm in Japanese and it becomes obvious it's the sm number of the video on Nicovideo.

”kono doubutsu no namae" translates to "This animal's name" , atama means head. In that context it might mean the color of her head in three letters (red?) or it might mean three capital letters. I'd check if any of the characters have a three letter abbreviation the Japanese use as internet shorthand to refer to them. They love that shorthand slang.
