I would guess the smaller ○ might be a clue, maybe a half with symbol or something. the other shared file also has this so it has some significance.

Pass is "amagi----a" . The numbers that go where the dashes are are the month and day that her name was chosen by the Japanese government, mmdd format. Go to

Code:
ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/天城 (未成空母)
And just ctrl+F

Code:
「天城」、
("Amagi",) with the comma.

It's the date in that sentence, right before the name.

It's ridiculous we have Amagi before Kaga.

I had a feeling that had something to do with it but I can't solve what the large/small 〇s represent. Changing to half-byte katakana didn't make any difference either.

Idol question...
How to delete the useless threads that I created? or do I need an approval from you first?

I figured it out.

You have to go to his twitter, watch the youtube video for the model to get the password.

Then search for
Code:
水依唯
, but you have to put the file format in the search too. That's all I can give you. Don't want this dude being a dick and taking down his models or making it even harder to get them.
Could you elaborate on this a bit please? I've tried the youtube code as the password but it's still a bit too esoteric for me to figure out

Ha... not too many options there.

I just found a blog post by a Japanese modeler who verified I was correct that 1 MMD unit = 8cm. That's gratifying, but I still don't understand why they didn't make it 1:10, it seems so much more logical from a metric country. Probably has to do with it being a power of 2.

http://nanonaishonen.asukablog.net/mmd/mmdにおける単位について。

After comparing facial dimensions against several other models I shrank Nightingale's head down to 90% of its original size. I think it matches up much better with other models now. Here's the original size, the revised version I made, and Tsumidango's BB and Akane's Scathach for comparison. I'm probably going to need to slim her neck down to match, and I still need to compare against her official height to see if her body needs to be resized. It's odd because my other models from kynokoru don't have these weird proportions.

Also, what I said about FGO Arcade? The same goes for Kantai Collection Arcade. If anybody could get those models ripped...

it might just be a coding thing. hex has a standard of 16, from which the 1 to 8 scaling derives.

It doesn't look like you can buy a machine outright for a more closer inspection, either. Even the nips can only get them leased out. I think that was the case with the Love Live boxes, too. Probably little hope on the ripping front if they're not even going to leave Japan.

Nightingale's hair colour's off in the base version of that model, too. It's too vibrant. There's more things off than at first glance, like a Where's Wally picture.

That might have to do with the fact that they're constantly adding content and characters to the games, or it might not and they're just being super anal about it. I agree it isn't likely unless there's a home console release, I can think of lots of old arcade games that have had sprites ripped but not any that had ripped models. (OFC by the time models replaced sprites arcades weren't much of a thing any more.)

I also stuck spheres on her clothes, hair and skin as I, like many others, didn't like the baked-in reflections in the texture files. To truly complete the process requires shopping those reflections out of the texture which would be far more labor-intensive.

Also, to whoever it was back in the day who was looking for the Azusa boob-face creature, she's in a pack of creatures that was just released a week or so ago.

Small abrupt question, how do I actually use the external bone setting in MMM?

An example of what I'm trying to achieve: attaching a hat to a head.

That would be done by using the lightning bolt icon at the bottom taskbar. If you want said hat to be attached to the model for example: Use hat model, lightning bolt, select character model, check interpolate box. Select bone of character model from the drop list (which would be the head bone.), and confirm. If it's not exact, you can move the parent bone of the hat to fit and confirm the keyframe. Click on register keyframe (green checkmark) that's in the same taskbar area as the bolt. It'll confirm it on the frame display in Disp/IK in the timeline. You'll never want to forget to register it due to it not automatically registering the external bone change. It'll render the change void and bounce it back to its initial place if you move to a different frame otherwise.

Aside from that. I figured out the passwords to the past request model about the pass translating for the mochi/zunko thing awhile back ago. It was exactly as the description said at the end of the video, but there were several occasions that those sets of models from the owner had intervals of using some characters that are the smaller versions of the former in the passes (darn, got trumped by this kind of thing again). Here's the tohoku set from them.

Faceplanted again.

bowlroll.net/file/195225

Pass is at https://ch.nicovideo.jp/kamokamo_mmd/blomaga/ar1075528 , supposed to be "--肌+ the last six digits of her video number" which is 676333.

The Japanese words I've seen to describe her skin color are

Code:
褐色肌 and 黒い肌
But neither of those work with or without 肌, or whether it's the whole video number or just those last six digits. I have a feeling this is another wordplay pass.

the passes in the blog are false. if you look at his other downloads the real passwords are posted in the video description.
however I can't find the real hint for this model

FYI.

Every May of each year, there is a japanese 3d model festival and you will see the word "OMF" on some images from bowlroll.

Below are the links and you might see some gems.
