Default Alizia's Stuff

Trying to get back into the habit of drawing regularly, and recently picked up a tablet and gave a go at doing some fan art of my XIV character ... still trying to decide on what hairstyle to go for, but once again I've changed my mind and figured on sticking with the Elezen rather than FemRoe. >.>;

Also I found between the tablet and my PC the colours are quite different, can't tell which one is the 'correct' one; anyone have any tips on that?

Knowing which is displaying the correct "colors" is difficult, but the tablet is probably displaying something closer to the true colors if you got recently. I'm guessing you probably haven't messed around with it and changed any of the screen settings yet. Whereas your PC monitor might have some program that's changing it's color profile or you might have changed the settings. But yeah it's kind of a bummer; I have this problem with my laptop and PC as well.

(I like the shorter hairstyle.)

Fair enough points. I also ended up checking out what it looked like on my phone and on my TV and what I saw on those were quite different too but both were closer to the tablet so I'll stick with that. Weird thing is movies still look the same between my computer and my TV, but images look different... ah why is this so convoluted. x.x;

Also I did end up settling on the shorter hair as well, and I've finally settled for certain on my character's looks come 2.0, aside from a possibility of giving her heterochromia.
[and unless I change my mind again... which is always likely]

*gets off his lazy chair* I feel too bad for not commenting on your thread. We need more support in the art section!

I definately prefer the short hair as well. But I am a bit biased on that because most of the times I find short haired women more attractive. Also...Great teasing pose. But give me my panty shot if you're going that far!

(j/k lol)

Well it's kind of a sliding scale at the moment, considering whether I should draw more risque stuff or not, so, I'm easing my way into it. =P Although they'd probably end up revolving around my foot fetish so... make of that what you will!

The question of if you're going to allow yourself to draw truly risque (or just plain NSFW) stuff can be hard. I remember reading an account from one of my favorite artists about his experiences with the same question. It's probably worth reading if that's what you're wrestling with. There's definitely a real fear associated with it that - if you start, and you post your work on the internet - will you ever be able to take it back? Will it close future doors for you? (What if somebody you know finds it?)

Personally I'd just draw whatever you want to draw, but don't necessarily post it if you feel uncomfortable about it. Drawing what you want to draw is the easiest way to get yourself motivated to continue drawing in the future.

Those are actually pretty good points. The only reason I'd been hesitant about it was mainly the fact of spending all the effort/time doing a drawing I wouldn't end up showing my friends and family lol, but then considering my career aspects (art jewellery and funding it via being a high school teacher), probably wouldn't be the best thing to find on my CV if I end up going into making porn. But yeah, I'll just play it by ear whenever I feel like drawing anything in particular.
