Default Have MMD tips or Advice? Share them here!

Since I have been using MMD for quite a few months now, I'd like to help others new and old. Anyone can share tips or advice that can help improve their MMD videos!

One of my tips is that ExcellentShadow2 can be used on models, but it can also be used on stages by loading the full_ES_pmx.fx onto the stage. It makes the shadows look not only smooth on your model but also your stage.

sort of bump :P

Messing around with MMD stuff finally, any recommend a collection of shaders and effects to make things look more realistic?

Currently I am using...
SSAO
Tonemap v2
Diffusion 7
AdultShader

I'm not too worried on effects slowing down the machine...
I messed around and tested a 3820x2160 @ 60fps 2min video render, and it took about 10min to finish rendering... so >.>

Shader bundle lately aiming into more realistic results [ikpolish shader , n4+c , ray-shader] mostly contains post effect shaders, has built in ambient occlusion, tone control, few standard surface shader and something else. the only downside : these bundle use more gpu/cpu resources

i can't talk more details for ikpolish & n4+c because i only used them for learning purposes. [both coming from the same root which is nchl shader]

i picked ray-shader for post effect because this one use different approach than 2 shader bundle listed above. using d_pmotskin for surface shader

quick samples:
skin

stages

i think Matadere have very good showcase for metal materials using the same shader

beamman Post Movie to make grain like cinematic effect
True Camera LX slight motion blur and DOF
there are plenty of other supplement shaders with different purposes

~旦_(^O^ ) cheers
