I was talking about the fact that the xml files were in plain text, then @mid-beta, they were XOR'd and bytes moved around. I'm not a native english speaker, for me "scrambling" meant that they added some kind of encryption, very low, but they added something.

My point is, things can change, before release you never know what they can add. So there is little point in releasing such a tool.

Just wondering, so far no Model Viewer for FFXIV ARR? Or maybe they won't be one until game comes out?

Most likely waiting for release, as of yet theirs no "good" viewer, as what seems to be out now, only shows stuff without shading... or coloring even?

How do you get it to work? It just endlessly asks me for the game folder.

Yep, the one we're working on will be released shortly after Phase 4 barring no major changes between then and launch. I'm not sure about western authors, but JP authors are mostly waiting until NDA fully releases/just flatout lazy and rather play lol.

Well, SE did e-mail requesting "data mined image removal" a tool that is getting the images, would be more of a "target" so, they are most likely waiting for NDA removal or full retail ~

Hey there.

Would anyone be willing to share any information on the current (Beta Phase 3) structure of the .dats? I'm designing an all-in-one modding tool (models, textures, sounds, animations) and this is obviously the biggest hurdle. If anyone is will to share info they already have, feel free to PM me or reply to this thread.

There seems to be some decent info out there on the file structure.

Unfortunately I am no good with that kind of stuff. I really am pulling out my hair with no tools like ffxivtool out yet, though

There's a few tools developed - lots are for website use only though sadly :/ Still waiting for a certain someone to send me the final build of a modelviewer for ARR.

I'm hoping that when the time comes, you'll share said modelviewer.

Then again, with their weird stance against machinima I'm not sure it would be even worth it. Sucks because I can't export models and make them do things against their will using MMD/MMM. >.>;

On the new expanison, Heavensward, Y'shtola appears naked, with a light covering her to not show much about.
Could someone show soon that model, and if we could soon replace models of our miqo'te bodies into that one?
