Default Updated Mithra Animations

(Formerly Naja Salaheem walk motion)
I've repurposed this topic to be a general updated Mithra animations thread.
Any animations that didn't include Geomancer casting/jump animations will be placed here,
as well as any animation sets mixed together.

Naja Salaheem Mithra walk -
  • Replaces the standard Mithra walk animation.
  • Fixed shield placement.
  • Comes with the option of having Korith's LaxIdle animation as well.
Bugs: While dual-wielding there is a bobbing motion to your offhand weapon, I haven't looked into fixing this.

Hand-on-hip Mithra idle -
  • Replaces the standard Mithra idle animation.
  • Fixed flap/skirt animations clipping with the old version.
Bugs: None at this time.

Credits:
  • Gulkeeva's Naja Salaheem walk motion
  • Gulkeeva's hand-on-hip idle motion
  • The person who added weapon placements on the above two (I am a terrible person and must find out who that is.)
  • Korith's Lax Idle files
  • The idiot posting this (hylysi)

TODO:
  • Update KitKat's CuteSit to include Geo/jump animations.
  • Add versions with/without motions together (Lax Idle, Hip Idle, Naja Walk, KitKat's CuteSit.)
  • Waste more time formatting this post.

Old Topic:
Spoiler: show

I decided to start a new thread for this as the old one is several years old...

This is the old Naja Salaheem walk for Mithras. I've updated it to include the newer GEO casting animations and jump emote.
As a bonus I've added support for shields, skirt/metal flap motions, and also the leg motions (lower body) that the old one didn't have.
These were simple additions as they already existed in some form (the shield weights however, are copied from the original Mithra walk.)

Bugs: While dual-wielding there is a bobbing motion to your offhand weapon, I haven't looked into fixing this.

Edit:
I've uploaded a newer version, the frame count for walking with a shield equipped was incorrect.
This fixes a slight stutter in the upper body walk animation when you have a shield equipped.

Uploaded a new version!

I have plans to update the Mithra hand-on-hip idle motion in the future as well (when I'm less lazy.)

I put it on and used it, but sadly saw that it took away the lax idle stance, which I'm also really fond of. Given that I see that more than this lovely walk, I sadly have to make a choice to go with the idle stance D:

I've added a version to the original post that includes Korith's Lax idle and Gulkeeva's Naja walk.

Ah okay, thank you, I missed that. Also a note for anyone running WinRAR, at least it happened to me; you'll want to update or you'll run into issues with extracting this. I tried several different programs and a few different downloads to no avail, but a V5.4 WinRAR was able to extract it without any issue.

I'm archiving these using LZMA compression with 7zip, I guess its a newer compression method. I did this to slightly cut down on file size (I'm a stickler like that.)

How are you editing the animations because last I heard motions didn't work right anymore in vrs anymore or does it work as long as you don't edit the motions?

I'm simply loading from the dat files. No issues editing models/motions.

I have noticed that .mot files older than 2010~ (not sure exactly when this began) give a "not enough memory" error when you try to import them into VRS.
Saving motions as a .mot file and then later importing them still works, so I can only assume something changed with VRS over the years to cause it to incorrectly load older .mot files.

oh! This is great, is there any chance you can add the lax idle stance to the new modern animation dat file so that it works with the new mount animations and things? :3

I can't play without lax idle but it's been years since it was updated and a lot of the newer things don't work! I know you added it to the other file but wondered if you could do it on it's own?
