Default The Emote Project!

So.. between playing around in Altana Viewer, and finding some good guides online, I've decided to start playing with emotes.

I'll probably need a bit of help from people..

The only issue I'm having right now is with weapons.. I really don't know how to weigh them so they aren't laying on the ground ; ;

New /think :

This ends kinda abruptly, I'm not sure if it'd do better in another emote.

A very small vid of it:

Idle type #2

I'll probably work on a lot more when I figure out how to make the damn weapons look normal ><

I'm working on something similar to this atm. Hit a snag with the /cheer I swapped in mainly due to weapon weights on it. Also have to fix a couple weights on /think /no and I think the /huh I swapped in. For some reason the sub weapon likes to move over to the same hip the main weapon is on with these ones. I may have just set the weight to the wrong hip...we'll see when i get home tonight.

On a side note I made that emote you posted the /stagger for mithra XD

This is what I have so far, shows the weight issues too...

Oh, if anyone wants to play with these, I forgot to add their numbers.

For the idle emotes, Upper Body is #6 in 1-51-90. Lower Body is #3 in 1-51-89.
The clothing animations seem to all be in 1-51-93, but nothing I've played with so far has fixed the clipping issue.

For the /think emote, Upper Body is #1, and Lower Body is #2 .

This fixes the clipping issue on the right side upperleg/body part.
Goes in Rom1-51-93 :D
(This is for the idle stance, not the /think emote)

Fyi, it's 51-93#3 .. wasn't that difficult to find :D

(The weight issue with weapons hasnt been fixed yet tho ; ;)

It's been almost a year since this thread was first started. Has Calipso ever managed to solve the weighting problems on the idle animations? This is one of the animations I'd love to have as the idle. :)

These are some really good emotes. I'm using some of them.

Can't say as far as Calipso is concerned but on mine, all but one fixed...my /cheer is about to get released as unfinished and someone else can just pick it up cause I'm seriously tired of jacking with it. just going to get the weapons in the general area and say fuck it....

seeing as last activity in this thread by the author was almost a year ago.. safe to say it's dead or on hold indefinitely.

Meh, this is unfinished, I lost the finished product to a system restore earlier this morning before I could get it .rar'd but until I can get everything finished here is a taste of most of all the emotes redone.

As a side note, I'm not happy with /no at this time and may change it back or remake it completely. The /cheer (no pic at this time, all others are shown earlier in topic) has no weapon weights or they are very wrong. I just wanted people to know what the /cheer looks like ingame.....as of right now I've failed miserably at making weights for this animation and would appreciate if anyone could help me make them or do it themselves and upload it again. Just keep in mind this is still a WiP, if you want to whine or complain about anything then I won't finish it and someone else can do it.

Let me say this. As a .dat modder with considerable experience, I have so much respect for those who have the skill to deal with motions. Motions are so difficult I gave up on it. Kitkat, you're much better than me.

Lie, endings are staggered on some of them until I get the right idle back and the whole /cheer thing just shows how little I know about adding custom weights. All others are just simple transfers of existing weights to the new emote, nothing more.

I still have to get /wave, /nod, and a couple others added in. Right now they are just .scn for vrs until I finish some of the frame problems and get the weights on. I spent entirely too much time on that /cheer and the best I could do was get them attached to where the belong, but not follow the motion (unfortunatly restore lost that too..so I have to fix that too).
