Open the model viewer.

Go select the face you want to replace so it's DAT number shows up in the top right corner.(or Settings > Show DAT and change race then back)

The DAT are labeled as #-#-#
1 = ROM
2 = ROM2
3= ROM3

So 1-2-3 = Rom > File 2 > DAT#3

Then Start Menu > My Computer > Drive that FFXI is installed on > Program Files > PlayOnline > SquareEnix > Final Fantasy

Make a Folder on your Desktop for back up DAT's.(I lost my Mithra 6A somewhere orz)

When you've copy + pasted the original into your back up folder, delete it and paste the mod you want in the file it came from. Rename it(IE Mithra blue.dat *right click* Rename > 104)

Make sure you replace the "Face" .DAT. If you replace the head you'll just end up wearing it as an armor, and it will look really wierd.
