Default Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service - Feed back Requested

Edit note If anyone can tell me how to rid the glowing squares around Jiji, I would be very appreciative. Thank you^^

I think I'm putting this in the right place >.>; But, uh...
In my JP class we've started watching Kiki's Delivery Service for our little film we watch every Thursday of every week... and, I realized, I love Jiji (Kiki's little black cat) So, I started making Carbuncle into Jiji just because I wanted my own Jiji XD

This is what I have so far. Please tell me what you think :D

I know there is more that I need to get done, such as making the legs longer and shortening the ears to make them look more like cat ears. Also, the eyes look a little creepy so I know I need to fix that. Other than that, please tell me what you think! ^^

Thank you!

I'm a huge fan of Miyazaki films. This looks like a fun little project, and I encourage you to finish it. I must say that you have a good start. So keep it up.

I think the black is a little too black. Perhaps a dark charcoal or silvery black may work better. But that's just my opinion, really. Besides that it looks like you have a good direction, so I won't bug you further.

What next? Kodama mods? Ohmu mods? Radish-spirit mods? (Looks great on galka haha)

♥ Miyazaki Forever

Kay, so this is how much further I've gotten. I wish that I could just edit one side in VRS and the other side go along with it, XD Would make the job oh so much easier, ne? Plus, my cats are getting annoyed with my feeling up their heads/shoulders/necks to get the sleekness right... And one of them got so annoyed, he hissed as I went to feel his paw XD

Carby's feet blow :/

Very kind, thank you ^^
VRS exploded last night and Carby-Kitty became wafer thin:

This morning I awoke and had some coffee then got to work! I worked very hard, and have yet to eat anything except for breakfast with my coffee :X I have had some road bumps with the skeleton, but I've managed to make it work :D I'm very proud of myself. Here is how it is looking right now:

Anyone have any idea as to how to fix the squared floaties? Or should I just destroy them?

Ahh, that's a VRS issue. Since Carby's glow is not attached to any polygons in the mesh, it discards it basically. But the game still tries to put it there but the texture is gone so it ends up looking like that. Not too sure how to fix it, but I think I have an idea... I have to try this out first since it's kinda complicated.

If you really want to. Actually, the more I think about it, you should. Cats don't glow normally. :P

*glances at her cats* No, they don't... It would be pretty neat if they did, though... Chances are they would have radiation poisoning, though. *Sigh*
Anyway... Finished Jiji's skeleton, decided to keep the legs shorter... It looks more like a real cat that way... Also Carby's skeleton would be very odd with the longer legs... But...
Here's how it looks!

Wow, I have to admit, I wasn't really keeping up with this to begin with. I had thought it was just going to be a reskinned Carby, but instead you've managed to go and reform Carbuncle into something entirely different. I don't usually comment much on dat mods since I don't use them very often, but honestly, this is a fantastic piece of work. Keep up the good work! :o

^^; Thank you muchly. I plan to post the .dat when I get home... with the skin I made and the skin I took from umbreon Carby (I think I found it on ffxidats?). Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to get rid of the glowing squares;; that is beyond my knowledge.

It is pretty much finished, I cannot figure out how to get rid of the glow, though. In some areas it is the normal Carbuncle glow, in others its just a bunch of squares. :/

If you wish to download, I believe I put it in the first post. :)
