Default Carbuncle skins

uh yeah, what the topic says.

I did't see a topic covering Carbuncle mods or skins w/e and I though well, why not make one?
a Carby topic :)

now some-one mentioned my carby in my Avatar, (that one's lost some time ago sadly... mishap while switching dats >.< )

this is a similar version but somewhat lighter ^^;;

Would it be possible to make Carbuncle really big, maybe a little bigger than Fenrir? I'm thinking no. The skeleton wouldn't compensate with the size increase of the model would it?

I think you'd need VRS with that.

I used to play around re-scaling my Moogle and the results were....
let's say the Moogle in question wasn't happy with what I tried to do using Metasequoia (spelling?)

an enlarged Carbuncle would be cool, but I think you'd need to add more polygons as well, other wise I think you'll get a rather blocky Carbuncle

edit:

Double sized carby using metasequoia...
I forgot how scary the poor thing looks >.<

That looks like it belongs in a horror movie, especially with the mouth agape like that. D:

problem with just changing the model size.. is you also need to scale the skeleton to match it.

Correct. The normal skeleton would only make it move half as far as it needs to go for the motions to be proper on a double sized Carby.

I know you'd need VRS for it,
just have no idea how to work with it, I downloaded it once, but I couldn't get it to work like it should it seems ^^:;

A whole thread dedicated to that glowing rat?

how about a really bright icy version?

I don't recommend running carbuncle through VRS. I did, and now the sparkles became white boxes. It works for a while and matches the ice theme on it, but then it fucks up and acts all boxy.....

VRS has a habit of tossing ouot textures that arent attacted to a polygon, and the sparkles are a special effect that VRS wont do. Meh...
