Default One song at your funeral.

If you were to die tomorrow, which song would be the song played at your funeral?

Second question:
If you were to compose a CD that would be played at your funeral, what songs would be on it in what order. Keep it within standard CD length, 8-14 songs.

'Gaudete' by Steeleye Span. Like was done at my mother's funeral.

A rather familiar song for myself... I'm a really sensitive and emotional person, and this little tune touches me everytime, especially after hearing the lyrical version.

I think we may have the same friend. OMG Gulkeeva I know who you really are now!

OK not really. Theres one song that I always thought would be perfect for a funeral, and I don't need to post it because everyone knows what it sounds like. Hint: It's one of the saddest video game songs ever made, for one of the saddest moments. It may not be original, but if I heard the orchestrated version at a funeral, I know I'd cry, seriously. Even if I hated that person.

Heres another song, its one of my all time favorites. I think it'd make people feel happy for me being dead, as if I've been released, so to speak, and they can go on and enjoy their own lives. it reminds me of my brother every time I hear it.

EDIT: Added the Orchestrated Version of 'that song' I mentioned. If anyone hasn't guessed what it is, see if you recognize it now. :)

sure the song is a little sad but is psycological if you play it in a funeral without anyone knowing it of course we will cry its sad and a friend/family/someone died its the mood but those know it are we strike more strong since we know the song is sad and involves something even more sad i am sure if someone not in a funeral hard and that doesnt know what song is they think is a pretty calm nice song and well i am sure of it because my family has heard it. and yes they think "what a pretty nice song i could sleep with it".

That's true, it is psychological, for someone who doesn't know its origin it would have little to no impact. I let my mom hear it once and she said the same thing your family did. For me though, the song has more than one origin. Besides the game itself, I convienently found this version during a very depressing time in my life, which I won't go into detail about, since I'd like not to reminisce over it. Listening to it repeatedly really helped me get the tears out and move on.
