Default Blocky hair problem

Not sure if this goes here.. but I have a dat editing problem.. everytime I edit the BMP part of the mqo in photoshop the hair of my character gets all blocky.. any idea why that happens?

A picture would be good but my guess is that you aren't re-applying the alpha mask that makes parts of the hair transparent when you convert the texture back to DDS format. Remember to save the original alpha mask of the texture before you convert it to bmp to work on it.
