Went to Transformers on its opening day at 8:00 P.M. Central Time and I too say that the movie was cool in more ways than one.

A-10's are sexy, sexy beasts. F-22 is pretty good. Fav combat scene was Starscream versus the other F-22's, how he shifted back and forth during the dogfights.

ive been a transformers fan since i was 4 years old, way back in the 80's and when i 1st saw the designs for the bots a year ago i was pissed, furious, w/e . i thought i was gonna be let down, but, peter cullen the voice of prime, was my ray of hope.

so i went to the theater monday. and wow .... the movie was everything i had ever hoped it would be. it was in this transformer fans eyes .... everything it should have been.

thank god they got the green light on movie 2 and 3, heck heard they started writing stories for em both already. that movie, goes down as my all time favorite movie,
hell its been out 3 days now and ive seen it twice.

I am glad to find someone who shares my view of the A-10. Hands down they have to be the most beautiful combat aircraft ever to grace the skies. F-22's are pretty cool, although my favorite after the A-10 has to be the VTOL JSF featured in Diehard.

As for the movie, it excited and pleased me in ways I thought only a woman could...
I had an extreme moment of joy when:
Megatron: "You've failed me for the last time Starscream"
Me: "LOL!"

I only hope the sequels will break the current movie mold and be as good, if not better than this one. Recently the only series to to get better as they progress was Emo Wars episode 1-3, and that's not saying much.

I also love the A-10 but for a more unusual reason.

The A-10 was the preferred plane of Greg Gates, a pilot from the Area 88 manga, anime, and Capcom video game (known as UN Squadron in America).

In the game it had the ability to shoot its regular vulcan fire in a forward and 45 degree downward direction simultaneously. All its special weapon options were ATS.

It used to be my single favorite Capcom game until I became obsessed with the original Rockman X a few years ago. I have the ROM if anyone wants it.

UN Squadron was possibly one of my most favorite SNES games of all time!

I would just let the intro play for hours because I loved the music. In fact, I think that was the first SNES game I played where I literally said, "Wow I love the music in this."

I just came up with a question about the transformers movie.

If the guy and girl do it in, or on Bumblebee, does that technically make it a three way?

Unless he's participating, I think he's just enjoying the show. Maybe if they use the stickshift or e-brake...

i counter with

UN Squadron was pretty good, but I still liked Gradius III better ( I loved the 1st stage's music!) but my all time favorite SNES game had to be Super Punch-Out!!

I love Gradius III, but Konami games generally kick the crap out of Capcom games in difficulty. Once I lost all my power-ups from dying, I was pretty much useless because I'd be stuck with no weapon or speed upgrades in a ridiculously tough area. I used the saved state and rewind feature on ZSNES to perfect my "defensive flying" rather than just take the complete upgrade loss (yes, I R CHEETAR).

Oh, Transformers. I didn't really want to see it, but I'm hearing nothing but good things. Guess I'd better.

Yeah, if you die in that easter island head level on any gradius game you're dead, that one stage where the game speeds up and you need to get through that warship is pretty hard to. I don't recall ever beating Gradius 3 w/o using a save state. I can get though the first 2 without a lot of problems, but it's also fairly luck based since if you die in the right spot you're pretty much f*cked w/o using the Konami Code to max out your ship.

Perhaps it's just because my desktop has specs that are below par, but the rewind function when tapped quickly doesn't take me back too far. It has been a lot of use in perfecting skills.

On my buddy's laptop, the rewind key takes you backward between 30 seconds to nearly a minute of gameplay. I won't care much for that when I upgrade.
