Default Requesting Recolor :)

I am looking for a recolored version of the attached dat, preferably to all black. The dat is the body piece (including cloak) in the picture, pants are Arhat's Hakama (would like to match these). I tried to do it myself, seemed like an easy task.. but I failed miserably trying to play with VRS. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Don't need VRS to recolor, just MV to export to mqo, GC3 to save the alpha channel(and "repack" the DDS) and a photo editing program to do the coloring.

Thanks, that was helpful. I found that saving it as "alpha channel" reset all of the color in photoshop, so I skipped that step. I am having a problem with the bikini portion of the dat though. Because it is sort of, say, scaley, I haven't been able to change the color of it without completely overwriting the texture. Is there any technique for getting around that? Thanks.

If you have photoshop, you should be able to select the area of the bikini from the BMP, and then just recolor that section without recoloring the whole texture. Then save over the BMP (make a backup of the original if you wish) and then open the BMP back up in GC3, open the alpha channel (should put some transparent sections to the BMP (if any) and then Format convert and then save as DDS. Then import it back via MV.
