First of all, there are files in the original folder as well as a .lzh (unzip) file. These are just "files" and not "DAT files", which means they won't do anything if you put them in your ROM\42 folder. Instead, extract the .lzh file and you'll get what you're looking for, the real "DAT files". It has a few pics in there to show you some things.

I downloaded them and put them in my ROM\42 folder. From a quick scan through the motions that are included, I have noticed the following changes to the originals:

1) - Synthesis - Leg positioning is different and a bit more spread out than normal.
2) - Resting - The /heal motion is what you see in the pic already posted, with just slight movements here and there.
3) - Sitting - The legs are spread wide, with an interesting--albeit slight--hip motion.

That's all I found.

Yeah, the older Elvaan one I have had 1 and 3, so 2 is actually the newest thing for it.

if this works....thanks so much for posting it, been looking or em for awhile

edit: this works fine if you replace the 4 and 7 files, those 2 seem to be the /heal and /sit mods,

I wish you could have the /sit from the "have you seen this?" thread and the heal from this set, but the #4 file seems to be both the heal and sit motions

can anyone tell me which file is what and why I can't seem to cross-match? I figured 3 files for 3 motions but that doesnt seem to be the case

I dunno I tryed this DAT out and seems really choppy to me, not a smoth loup. Just motion stop jump back to start.

I like it cuz elf DATs are not as commion as hume or even mithra but, I give it a 6 over all lol.

Not always 3 dats. It's common to have 3 motion parts that make up the whole (Upper Body, Lower Body, Skirt) but were they are located can be in 1 to 3 files. The reasoning and logic on how the files split is priority motions exist on the main skeleton, this is walking running, sitting, etc.. Then the less priority exist in other dats or are intentionally seperated for keeping order (Combat intentional, emotes less priority, WS intentional, etc...)

That's how they are split up, the main skeleton .dat will have most of the need now motions.

Mean Blue Magic stops working? If that's the case I can fix that easy, Gulkeeva could fix that easy as well. Just take original recent .dat and port that motion into it, be like 5-10 min. to do.

Well if I was home and was ready to do it then it would be that long.

I'm at work too !
I've been tied up with so much random stuff I dunno if I can find time
wednesday was dynamis -> 2 hour drama -> fafnir
thursday was supposidly going to do jailer of prudecen but instead hydra for several hours, then camped fafnir for 5min, another LS got... took it to 1%hp, they wipe, we got it and a ridill.

Today think doing limbus + fafnir +hydra again, we soorta wiped to hydra with 16 people at 6%, gave up after fighting 2 hours for fafnir

er anyway enough my random rambling ^^; I still need to finish my midway and still loaded on VRS for past 2 days motion editing of adding Naja Idle+walk together and fixing the weapon placment on naja idle O_o

Unlike the PC armor .dat files, the motions are combined into two or three huge compilations. So if you want a specific thing, you have to take everything else that comes with it. As an experiment, I went through the mithra motions on a .dat file, and I got bored after the 92nd motion or so. I don't know exactly how many there are in a file, but I know that all motions for a race and gender are stored in 3 or so .dats.

For 1 specific motion it can be 1 to 3 .dats. In total though for a PC model it's about 7 or 8 .dat files. For fixing that sit though you only need the originals that coinside with the altered .dat files. Then just find the motions in the index and replace them.

I use winrar and I'm very satisfied with it, to the point where I'm considering buying it. I hear good things about winace too, but I've never used it.

Well you'd basically...
Get the .DAT with the motions you want
get your current .DAT motions
and basically copy paste it over to your current .DAT so you have your new emotes+ blue magic naimations

although this sounds short easy and simple, it can take awhile if you never mapped out the motions, so you'd be guessing numbers in both the old/new DATS to find emotes you want/replace.
