This is the message that I found posted on Microsoft's website under support.....

Phone Support
Wait Time: Will vary
Cost:$59.00 US per support request during business hours. (Some support may not be covered under this charge.)

HOLY F***ING S***!!!! :shock:
Look at that charge rate! omfg. Who here would pay that much for one phone call??

LOL. I just wanted to see someone else's opinion on that. Post if you are bored or feel like slamming microsoft about their terrible rates lol.

They have a support staff? when did that happen O_o

usualy its a redicrect of a redirect of a redirected help topic in some endless maze to where you will be so lost and confused that you want to choke somebody.

Everyone knows though... when theirs no solution.. reformat it!

uhh that has always beebn like that (for years) and enterprise support (for lkike thier server products) can be up to 250$ for a support incident. keep in mind this is one trouble ticket not one phone call. Ive had one Ms call that involved 4 microsoft techs (different specialties) and it lasted for 9 hours: 23 minutes, no bullshit.

And there is a lot of stuff they dont charge for like windows activations or getting hotfixes etc. This is basically if you want MS to solve a problem for you.

Ive never had to pay a cent for support from them though, yay for partnership status :)

just to keep with the MS bashing I guess ill just say, 59.99 to talk to someone in India who can barely speak english and has no understanding of MS products is indeed a ripoff. The reverse however is a great deal.

windows sharepoint services were not restoring properly on a small business server 2003 migration. the 4 techs were from different departments. 1 was a senior tech for small business server, 1 was an IIS expert, 1 was an exchange expert and the 4th was a Sharepoint expert.

I was not "just being funny" XD I was actually serious, but I DO find it funny that microsoft is such a.... (insert some word here) about these things... and I thought it was so far out there I just had to make it public. lol, but yeah... maybe we could use the rest of this thread to try and thing why microsoft rates are so high when they get money from so many places... I also wonder what the big wigs do on thier free time.... ?

ya but still.. 60 bucks per issue really isnt that bad because most of what you need to problem solve can be found online so only the really big issues would require a support call..

heck that is half what my company charges for service and we charge by the hour.... :)
