Default Dancer's Dances

Ok, I saw some pictures in "Normal FFXI Pics (Not hentai)" about Galka and Mithra dances. The two dances posted were one of 4-5 possible dances. Those were actually also ripped from NPC's and might not have been PC avalible dance motions.

According to the dat miners at BlueGartrLS, only HumeF, HumeM, and ElvaanM PC dance motions were uploaded. They have been posted on YouTube for the enjoyment and ridicule of all.

Hume Female Dance
Elvaan Male Dance

The female one doesn't look too bad, but its exactly the same ballerina floaty thing for males? I don't see the appeal for the developers here. I'm a bit confused tbh... they do want people to play their game right?

The ending stance of the E male looks painfully gay.

These dances are very reminiscent of Spanish dances, IMO. I'm not sure how I feel about that in regards to the male dancers, but it works just fine for female dancers.

Just because I don't think dancing like a ballerina while wearing doilies and spandex in a combat situation is conducive to a fantasy-based RPG environment does not mean I, or the majority of others who comment on the topic are homophobic. It isn't going to make me flip out every time I'm in a PT with one, and it isn't going to make me quit the game - that doesn't mean I have to agree with the design concept of it for a combat-oriented MMORPG.

I have a gay friend who I speak to almost daily and sometimes he does "fruity" stuff and I don't care because hes been a good friend of mine since high school.

I'm pretty convinced that since you bring it up incessantly, you yourself are homophobic.

No, unlike most of the ppl I see I actually have an open mind. I don't care WTF someone does with their lifestlye as long as they don't push their ideas on me.

But I can see this becomming a "OMG it's so gay" topic soon.

Ignore Cord, he likes to kick shit up.

Also, idk what the fuck they're dancing to that makes them want to jump around like that...

I'm almost offended.

I kinda liked the last dances from the videos, where it's more of a dance than a jump and twirl motion for all the other ones.

Who are you again?

And I'll admit... they can jump pretty damn high...

Going to be interesting to see what they can do for taru... since they're too small to do jack sh*t.

THIS is what dancer WS/JA's should look like

Capoeira = Dance fighting to confuse and misdirect your enemy

The Capoeirista is the hooded/dreadlock guy

Here is a slightly better version of the mithra dance gif. I can't say if it's official or not, but it's there. While I'm at it, I added Galka.

I hate, with the exception of Mithra, how they stereotyped that dancer was supposed to be a frilly job. Couldn't galka have a manly, gruff dance?

Capoiera takes so much balance and strength x_x could never imagine doing that, hard enough to push your whole body straight up while upside down lol

i do not think Capoiera(sp?) works ><

i mean how can you dish out blows that actuay hurt while fighting for your own balance? ><

and even if you could, it seems rediculously predictable.
