Default Texture removal.

Kickern or Wenrick, maybe one of you two guys (or anyone else that might know) can help me with this. I've posted on the MC forums, but no response from the community on how to fix this yet. Anyway So trying to clean up some dats, just to reduce the file size and make them... well cleaner. And in one of the ones I'm finishing there are alot of texture files. I'm a good enough moder I can double up a texture and use them well enough, but I can't figure out how to get rid of the duplicate/left over ones.

Heres what I mean:

You can see I want to get rid of some textures, but if I just delete them they're still present in the .dat file. When I reopen they're still there, taking up space and being useless. The only thing I can figure is because they're attached to the mesh between the .dat and the skeleton that they are outside of the scope of the file I save. So the question is, where do I go to kill the buggers?

You need to use the old VRS- and thus will create hex errors upon your export (yes even if you just export it, they will be hexed)

What kind of hex errors are we looking at? And how might I get around those?

This is the very reason why i still have the old version of VRS, just to get rid of textures that are not used. With the new version, it is impossible to remove them, even if you delete the yellow picture objects from the schematic window. The only way to get around this is if the textures you don't want are never attached the the model in the first place.

As for your question about hex errors, here's a lovely guide on ffxidats.com:

Any chance you have the old VRS available for download? And if its just the standard hex errors of texture size miss-match then thats ok, I know how to correct those.
