Default Metasequoia Bug

Everytime i'm tryign to modify something on Meta, my character kinda explode and i'm not kidding. I don't know what i'm doing wrong since it was working right when i was working on my BLU AF. Here's a pic of the result after trying to remove the tail. It did the same thing while trying to move some vertexes.

I don't understand why it's doing it when i only move the vertexes. I did it before with my BLU AF without any problems. Maybe i'll use a modified Cor AF instead of the SE one.

Those're commonly referred to as "weight explosions"; the weights on the piece in question are probably incorrect.

You CANNOT add or remove ANYTHING in meta or your character will explode. Likewise, if you add any vertexes in VRS you will have to assign weights before saving and opening in meta or the same thing will happen.
Hope this helps!

Your first part is correct, however VRS won't "save" anything that has 0 or 3 or more weights assigned to a vertex,

The only thing you can use Meta for is:
1) UV editing
2) scale/vertex manipulation/moving

Like Acina said, you can NOT delete or add anything in meta, when you go to put it back in via MV, your .DAT will explode like yours did.

It's not a bug.. per say.. just limitations of either FFXI or Meta... most likely a little from column A and a little from column B.

The first time it happened is when i tried moving vertexes only. Which shouldn't make it explode like that.

Edit: It just worked right now. Maybe i did delete some vertexes the first time by mistake. Thank you for pointing out i can't delete vertex in Meta.

You're moving vertexes on your X axis, or a single point that has no mirror in a mirrored mode. When you move things around in Meta, you cant move the any points on the central X axis off it. Also if you're doing symmetrical adjustments you have to double check that the model you are working on is indeed set symmetrically, you might be moving a point on one half, that has a counter point on the other with different lines and weights.
Try restoring your original and moving things one half at a time with symmetry turned off.

ok thats a straight forward answer and probably the root of MY problem, my question is how do you assign weights to a single vertex?
