Default Diablo 3 Petition? (Fixed)

Sorry about the last one, was a mistake. Anyway here's the real URL:

http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/news/131...ition-created/

Am I the only one who thinks the fanboys are jumping WAY too early at this? Since the graphics could be dramaticly changed?

Nope, you're not the only one there but what I say is... have you ever tried to use logic to figure out why fanbois do what they do?

Yes, and the only logical conclusion is...

Fanboys = Retards

I get what they're going at though. The diablo universe is supposed to be creepy and slightly grimdark.

Diablo III is bright and WoWish.

For being someone who hates fanboys so much, you sure bring them up a lot. It seems you yourself must be one, and you're trying to appear as though you aren't one. I've read a few posts where you flame on them, but you're obviously staying very up-to-date on all of these issues at hand!

I dare say~ Corrderio is a fan boy!

Me either... I hadn't even really known about it until now.

But...

45838 Total Signatures...

Statistically, that means 3 females have signed this petition. You should change it to 'fan-people' or i will start a petition to get you locked in a room listening to the song "What a girl wants"

They did change direction (to a point) in Starcraft 2 when they saw the reactions. Most fans thought it didn't look gritty enough, and so they added more... well, grit.

Not that this is ensured to turn out the same, but I don't see why they shouldn't try.

I've played Diablo II before, loved it, and I look forward to D3. But I think its a mixed bag to deal with rabid fanboys.

On one hand its ridiculous to undermine the developers based upon your own expectations. It robs them of their creative freedom.

On the other hand, it does give the developers a measure of accountability. It can also help keep the series consistent and pure.

As for my own opinion, I have to look back on Diablo II, since that's the one I'm familiar with. I have to disagree with the fanboys. They are saying that the Diablo series is less cartoony than Warcraft, and I think that's incorrect. They look similar to me. Perhaps its because D2 was made so long ago that, at the time, it was more "realistic", but over time it now looks cartoony. They could have given the "realism" look to Warcraft, but they made an artistic decision and decided on the cartoony look.

After all is said and done, I believe the fanboys are upset not at the artistic decision of Diablo II, but instead, they are disappointed that the graphical realism doesn't measure up to their expectations. And Great Expectations and/or hype can kill a game.

I just don't think it will kill this one.

I agree that D2 was meant to be dark (I mean hell, you were fighting, pretty much, Satan and his brothers), but just because it looks "cartoony" isn't going to prevent me from buying it.

Fanboys need to cry a little less. They're so fucking spoiled they can't take one little "flaw" without crying and making emails just to sign their own petition. All in all, online petitions ARE A RETARDED CONCEPT, AND ANYONE WHO SIGNS THEM DESERVES TO BE LOCKED IN A ROOM WITH RICHARD SIMMONS.

I agree w/ Ferris. If you think an online petition is going to work you're not too bright. Considering that they're 100% anonymous.

Lol I like that. But couldn't they still be considered boys since they aren't real men? :D

It's just the term, I know people in their 30s who classify as fanboys for stuff.
