Default Your opinion of "NoScript"

Hey, just wondering about the community opinion on NoScript for Firefox. I recently downloaded it and I've noticed a severe slowdown for most sites.

My question is whether or not it's worth the slowdown. Take in mind I am a overly safe internet viewer that's borderline obsessive at times.

Thank You =D

It's an addon to Firefox that allows you to have all scripting turned off and you can tell it which sites to run the script on. It pretty much eliminates the issue of clicking bad links (I think?). However like I said, it makes your internet rather sluglike.

Noscript turns off all flash and javascript protocols unless you enable them from an icon in the lower right-hand corner of your browser. The purpose is to avoid spyware and data hijacking through javascript encoding. You enable them on a per-website basis, or you can just enable certain things if they show as a beige box.

If you're having "internet" slowdown, that's you, because Noscript actually makes pages with disabled content load faster, and has no effect on your connectivity. I love the addon, it's my favorite one. Firefox + noscript is as safe as web browsing gets.

Yeah i like it too, it does seem to slow some things though that are script intensive, and or can be annoying at times.

Stuff can stil lslip through noscript if you click on the wrong things however, noscript is just like a extra safegaurd on blocking the "auto load" but not much vs "manual load"

Ok cool, thanks guys. But yes, the slowdown seems to only be on sites that use java a lot.
